Run an Inbox Placement Test

Run an inbox placement test on your inboxes created in Mailpool

Written by Team Mailpool

Inbox placement tests help you understand where your emails are landing (Inbox, Spam, or Promotions) across different providers. It’s especially important to run tests on aged inboxes and avoid testing with newly created inboxes to prevent deliverability issues. Follow this guide to run an inbox placement test in Mailpool.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. From the Mailpool dashboard, click the type of inbox you want to test from the left menu.

  2. Locate the inbox that you want to run an inbox placement test for and retrieve the login credentials. Then, log in to the inbox.
For Mailpool Inboxes, you can log in using this link.

  3. Select the Inbox Placement tab in the left menu.

  4. Click the "Run Inbox Placement Test".

  5. Select the email service providers you want to test. Then, click the "Run Test" button.

  6. Create a new email and add the seed list email addresses as recipients. Then, add the code to the body of the email.

  7. Send the email from your inbox, and once it's done, click on the "Check Results" button.

Important Note: An inbox placement test is not ideal for newly created inboxes, as it can cause deliverability issues due to the 40–50 emails sent during the test. Newly created inboxes require a very low sending volume.
